ZUCCHINI and JALAPENOS and zero corn

We got one super awesome Zucchini plant that just produced the largest zucchini I could ever comprehend growing in my own garden! It was AWESOME! I now need to make some yummy zucchini bread for sure! I took a picture of it with my Iphone so I just need to get it from my phone to my computer. Phil will help me then I'll have the photos of that and our 1st Jalapenos! :) I picked 2 of them and there are more there I was just waiting for them to grow! I love that I have a garden that is producing something! :D even if my corn looks like crap at least I got jalapenos, baby tomatoes, and zucchini! :D

Cherry Picking and Garden Progression

Phil and I got an awesome cherry tree when we moved into this house and when we got back from our long Europe Trip we HAD to pick like busy bees before the birds ate them all!

I was kinda afraid of being up so high but then I got so ambitious I had to get as many as possible!
The fruit of our labor. YUMMY! Then I cleaned them all off and Phil canned them. we got about 6 bottles out of them and I was worried I wouldn't like them bottled but they're pretty good! :)

We also had many things finally pop up out of the ground when we returned from our trip. Lara took really good care of our garden and kept it watered for us, THANKS LARA! Here is what it looks like now!

The corn still looks small and I don't know what to make it better, if anyone has suggestions I'm open to them! I need all the help I can get! :)

Something's growing!!

The Tomatoes, and Strawberries are starting to show some production, strawberries not photographed yet but soon to come.
My from seed Radishes are starting to grow too! Yippeee!!! More to come so long as it all keeps growing! :)

Plants and seeds in!

Phil and I decided to start our garden the same day the last post was made but I was a slacker and didn't put the pictures up until now... oh well! :) Here is what it looked like the day we got the plants in (we may have cheated a little and bought a few that were already grown but there were some we started from seed!)

This is where the cucumbers will be. I'm just finishing planting them in this photo.

Along with the cucumbers we planted squash yellow and green, radishes, peas and some tomatoes without the help of starts, hopefully they will grow! :)

Garnden spot

Here are the lovely planter boxes that Phil made for me out of Railroad Ties. They do not currently have any plants but should soon, today if I can get off this computer!
We also have a little guest staying in our light fixture
And she has laid eggs! I guess we won't be changing those lights for a while longer!

Welcome!

Hello! I am a person who is new to gardening and would like to document my successes and defeats here on this blog. Here goes nothing!
